I’ve talked about it a few times here on the blog (check out this post and this post to see a couple of eye looks I’ve created using this palette), because it’s one of my favorites. The Too Faced Pumpkin Spice palette was a birthday gift last year, and it’s so gorgeous. I just want to try to use it as much as possible this year. Again, no goals for specific shades in here, other than the glitter shade. It’s a gorgeous shade for a night out, which I don’t know will happen this year, but the other shades in here are also really pretty. I clearly love the glitter shade in this palette (it’s STUNNING), and I definitely think I can hit pan on that shade. The Marc Jacobs Eyeconic palette in Steeletto is a really pretty cool toned palette, which is always my favorite. While I don’t have any specific shades I’m aiming to hit pan on, the goal is to hit pan on at least 3 shades. I think it would be easy for me to use it, because I really love the shades in the palette (also, The packaging is on this palette is so gorgeous. It’s a gorgeous palette, and one of my favorites (check out this post to see a tutorial for a makeup look I’ve created using this palette). I received this one for Christmas a couple of years ago. I’m sure I can finish up a couple of shades, and hit pan on a few that I haven’t quite reached yet.Īnother palette I want to work on is the Colourpop It’s a Princess Thing palette. I want to work on this palette this year also. I worked hard on using my ABH Sultry palette in May of 2020, and I hit pan on quite a few shades (I started 2021 with pan in 4 shades in this palette, and very close to one more). The Colourpop palette is the only one available for purchase anymore, so once most of these palettes are used up, they’re gone for good. I have four eyeshadow palettes I want to focus on this year: The ABH Sultry palette, Colourpop It’s a Princess Thing, Too Faced Pumpkin Spice (2020 release), and Marc Jacobs Steeletto. I know it’s already the end of February, but I’ve already been working on these products and making progress and wanted to share what I’m working on, as well as my goals for these products. Scroll to the bottom for a complete list of my previous project pan posts It really helps keep me on track to use up some of my makeup and skincare, which is always a good thing. I’ve done this in the past (check out this post for my 2018 project pan), and it really motivates me, so it’s something I want to continue. With these trials, we always pick testers whose complexions are ‘matched’ to the products – to give them the best possi chance of success.2021 has been here for a bit, so I want to restart my project pan series. Personally, what we want from a day cream is a lovely texture, ease of application, a sense of comfort throughout the day – and a good canvas for make-up. We didn't specifically trial illuminating primers but testers found that a couple of the winners gave the radiance you’re looking for, as well as blurring blemishes and persuading foundation to last really well.īeauty Bible Awards 2023: the best day moisturisers ✨Ī great day cream is the Little Black Dress of your skincare wardrobe. Not only will Hocus Focus diffuse the appearance of large pores, wrinkles and uneven pigmentation (as they say in the blurb), as one reviewer says ‘this pinkish pearly golden lotion brings such a natural true glow to the skin’. The long name is 'Instant Visual Flaw-Softening Illuminator' and since it was developed under the eagle eye of our friend Marcia Kilgore, it’s a small work of staggering genius. Gorgeous.Īlso pretty brilliant is Soap & Glory Hocus Focus, a budget buy at £11 for 30 ml. With gleaming glints suspended in the gel primer, this will make you look as if you’re lit from within. If you can afford to splurge - and it does seem to last forever - then we suggest you make straight for the Guerlain counter and invest in Guerlain L’Or Make-up Primer, currently £39.95 for 30 ml at John Lewis. These are brilliant for a dull skin day (or any day really). I’m looking for an illuminating primer to apply before foundation to brighten my skin.
